Genshiken: Complete Collection

Good series, poor packaging
This series is very fun and reccomended for any anime fan. The english dub is also done well fo those who dont like subtitles. The main problem with this release is the packaging. All the DVD's are mounted on a single spindle so you must remove the upper DVDs to get to the DVD you want to watch. Also the slip in jacket that goes on the outside of the case was cut too large so that it formed a large crease through it when it was inserted into the DVD case.

If you dont already own the Genshiken series I would still reccomend to buy this release because of the great price. If you already have part of the series, I would reccomend to try and purchase the missing pieces seperately.

A Great Price for a Great Series
Genshiken The Complete Collection is a great way to get the entire series both seasons, and the OVAs, for a good price. If you consider that individually the DVD sets are $30 each, this is a good way to save 50% or more on the series.
The only drawback, and it's a minor one, is the packaging, all 7 DVDs are on a single spindle in the case, which makes taking the bottom DVD out a bit of a pain.
The series itself is well worth watching and owning, funny, touching, and completely entertaining, anyone who enjoys anime, will likely enjoy the series.

Great Set! shame about the box!
Wonderful series, and to have it all in one box with the OVA! Just love it...

Now about that box... Hmmm.. 1 spindle.. 7 Disks! can you make life more awkward if you tried?? err.. disk 7 is at the bottom of the pile..somewhere after disk 2,3,4,5 and 6!. Someone had a very bad bright idea I think! This set up is totaly dumb! - no stars out of ten for the box! Fortunately I had some spare standard eight disk boxes and it took 20 seconds to move the slip and transfer the disks and Wal AH!! so much easier to get to the disks. PS.. Anyone want a single spindle 7 disk box?? free!

As for the series, It is great to have both seasons and the OVA together, especially the OVA as it ties season 1 and 2 together.. otherwise how did Ogiue (Pronounced "OgyWay") get involved? I waited with baited breath waiting for this to arrive.. and was just so worth it!

I already had season one, but bought this for the value and because the whole series was gonna cost me less than...
