African American Culture Series (Box Set) 10 Disc (Black History)
Nice Series
I watched the African American Culture DVD series through my local library system. I love watching black history programs no matter whom they are about. I thought this series was put together well. When I saw that most of the programs were in B/W I was not surprised.
This program touched me when I saw that it had a positive review from "Margaret B. Miller, Univ. of South Dakota Libs., Vermillion --Library Journal". The programs that stood out to me were, Blacks in the War, Tuskegee Airmen: The Dream and African American Film Producers.
1.(Blacks in the War was put together well with interviews of actual war footage of soldiers who were in World war 2. This program made it very interesting and it was color and B/W.
2.(Tuskegee Airmen) takes you back so you can get a glimpse of how life for this great group of airman made it through a really tough time for African American Pilots.
3.(African American Film Producers) take you back to visit...
